Genete Tsige St. George Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (STGE) is a sacred assembly within the fold of the Orthodox Tewahdo Church of Ethiopia, devoted to upholding the sacred teachings of Christianity and adhering to the religious precepts concerning matters of faith, worship, and creed. Founded in September 2023 by twelve Ethiopian orthodox Christian families residing in the DMV area. The church stands as a testament to the spiritual commitment of its congregation.

Mission 

The primary mission of the church is to faithfully carry out the divine commandment of Christ, baptizing all in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In the pursuit of this sacred duty, the church exalts the oneness and trinity of God through profound and reverential worship, coupled with the enlightening teachings drawn from the sacred scriptures. Our collective journey is guided by the principles of love and unity, as we mutually uplift one another for the greater glory of God.

Vision 

We believe that it is in the living body of Christ – which is the Church – that true healing of the whole person can be realized. It is for this reason that our aim is to be the Link to Christ. “Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.” (Matthew 15:30)
